This is an original California Black Plate 1960 Jaguar XK150 Drop Head Coupe restored by its second owner.  The original drive train (numbers matching) boasts Jaguars powerful 3.8 liter six cylinder engine. The car is equipped with a close ratio 4 speed gearbox and has electric overdrive.  Also, it has a lovely set of chrome wire wheels with  knock-off hubs.

This is a wonderful return to the 1960's when British sports cars were the envy of the world.  This specific example is in outstanding condition and could be driven everyday if desired and if in the right climate.  The engine has plenty of power, the gear box is smooth and overall, it is just a joy to drive.

Low, Curved and Exciting, the bodywork of the XK Series created a sensation when announced in 1948.  The engine - a six cylinder - rivaled the big American V8's of the time.  Jaguar was center stage at the Winners Circle taking several Le Mans  victories.

More expensive ($6,000 cost) than their British rivals, MG, Triumph, Austin Healey and Lotus, the Jaguar sold very well due to style, performance and on-track prowess.  From 1957 - 1961, 2672 of this model were produced.

This California car underwent a body off restoration in 1990 and has been driven sparingly since.  Stored most of the time and taken out for special occasions, this car gets more than its fair share of attention.
