Every now and again you meet a collector of motorcars whose passion runs well beyond the “what” or “how many” regarding the contents of their garage.  These unique individuals see their automobile collection as a series of works of art; keeping them as original as possible is significantly more important and valuable than a wonderful looking car that has undergone a frame off restoration (or two).  The exterior “patina”; the perfect interior and consoles un-marred by the careless tossing of keys, change and other paraphernalia; the original door moldings in almost perfect condition; a steering wheel darkened over time by the natural oils from the drivers hands.  Add to these other important features offered by a vehicle like this such as the original emblems and badges (that still retain their vibrant colors after all the years); the original numbers matching mechanical components from front to back and low, original miles.  All these things and more separate a good car from a truly remarkable car.

We, both you and I, are fortunate to have access to a few cars from one collector that without doubt falls into this category.  The first was an amazing 1968 T-Top Corvette Coupe; the second was a beautiful 1956 Corvette convertible with a removable hardtop; the third was a beautiful – 2 owner – numbers matching 1960 Corvette convertible and the fourth is this awesome - 2 owner - numbers matching 1966 Stingray convertible.  This car is immaculate inside and out.  The exterior is painted in Ermine White and is 90% original, the interior vinyl is in Bright Blue and looks like new.  The pictures really show the car well and the way the color combination offsets itself makes this a magnificent piece of Americana.  Under the hood is the original 327ci - 300hp motor with the original Powerglide automatic transmission.  The car has traveled 46,850 documented original miles and has a file about three inches thick to document its journey since manufacture.  The paint is 90% original and is mint; the interior is 100% original and also mint. The steering wheel, the gauges, seats, and door panels look N.O.S. (New Old Stock) as do the badges  etc. Everything works, and the car comes with two excellent tops.

This beauty is a survivor; Offered at $69,900, this car will not last long and will make you the envy of any car collector friends with whom you associate.
