Vehicle Description
The Cadillac Eldorado that was produced in the early 70's was an icon of American affluence and success. The 1972 Eldorado was in our opinion, one of the best looking of them all complementing an already attractive look with the extended rear lights and decorative chrome to the rear of each door. The interiors were made in real leather and the car had all the options exuding luxury and a sense of accomplishment. Also, the 1972 was the last year that had an engine installed that produced 365hp.
Today, we are offering a 1972 Cadillac Eldorado convertible which is an all original car. Original paint, carpets, interior and 65,000 original miles on the original motor. Recently, the carburetor, alternator, exhaust, battery and radiator were replaced and the car is in perfect condition. The original spare wheel/tire is in the trunk and it appears to never have hit the road. Loaded with options, we have PS/PB/PW as well as power locks and air conditioning. An additional and interesting feature is the Autronic Eye developed in 1954 to automatically dip the headlights.
The convertible top is new as is the rear window and the power up and down works perfectly. The car comes with a parade boot painted in the same color as the body as well as the soft boot to protect the top when down. This car is rust free and we can find no evidence of any bodywork whatsoever; additionally, it has few (if any) rattles and is a joy to drive. It is clean as a whistle underneath as you can see from the pictures provided. Everything in the car is in working order with the exception of the original radio.
These cars are the talk of the town when you drive up and park; no matter where you are, a 1972 Eldorado convertible stands out. The motor is the 500 ci V8 coupled to a three speed automatic transmission. Whether you are a Cadillac enthusiast or just love cars, this is a great car to own and have fun with in the summer months (or all year round as a daily driver in the right climate!!).
