This is a clean 1965 Galaxie 500 Hardtop with the odometer reading 64,339 miles; likely 164,339).  The car is finished in a pleasing white with offsetting green roof and a green vinyl interior.

The car does not have a lot of options but does come with the all-original, 4-barrel 352cid motor which starts and growls eagerly, coupled to the Cruise-O-Matic three-speed transmission. The interior is well appointed and all-original except for the upholstery on the front bench seat, which has been recovered recently in a darker shade of green. The dash, carpet and headliner are in pretty good shape with no serious cracks, tears or discoloration. The rear bench seat looks to be original and in fantastic shape.

The paint is good on the car, but the quality of the finish on the hood leaves something to be desired. From five feet away, the paint appears to have slight bumps, but the finish is smooth and even. This is most noticeable from close range when the car sits in direct sunlight, but much harder to detect from 10 feet away. The chrome trim is fully intact and in wonderful shape. The car was hit lightly on the front left corner, which resulted in a small dent and caused the paint on the corner to chip off and the chrome trim to split. The only other rough spot on the car is the gas filler door, which has lost some paint and developed some surface rust. Luckily, it’s an easy fix!

The documentation that we have for this car is unbelievable. As you can see in the photos, we have over 100 pages of service records. All 64,339 original miles are accounted for. Everything from the original Georgia Bill of Sale to gas prices and average MPG for every stop at the pump—it’s all there! The original owner’s manual and warranty card are included.
