This is a stunning and beautiful 1940 La Salle Convertible Sedan finished in Taupe with a complementary Red Leather interior. In 1940, 125 of these cars were built and this is the last one; number 125. Sister to the Cadillac, these are rare and sought after and in this condition, make it a fantastic acquisition for shows or to take out for a drive on a regular basis. This car has the 322 CID 1-bbl. motor and a 3 speed manual transmission. We drove the car to the photo shoot and it runs and drives beautifully; see the attached video.

This 1940 La Salle Convertible Sedan has been the recipient of an older restoration and has 9,758 miles on the odometer which we believe was reset when restored. The Beige, canvas convertible top is in exceptional condition and a rather unique feature is the tonneau cover; in addition to the boot covering for top when down, this covers both the rear and front seats, a true full tonneau cover! As you can see from the pictures, the car has been very well looked after and well maintained and is stored in a climate controlled storage facility. Recent work completed includes replacement of the rear main and rear-end seals, a complete transmission rebuild, replacement of all u-joints and new wide whitewall radials. The car has a working heater and the fantastic suicide doors!

The dashboard, the gauges, seats, and door panels are all in excellent condition as is the exterior paint. The body the interior and the undercarriage are all in excellent condition. She still has her 8 volt electrical system in place and an eight-volt tender comes with the car. The car has no rust and is solid, the engine sounds and performs perfectly. If you are lucky enough to ride in this car, you will know exactly what I mean; and there will be no doubt. Overall this is an exceptional car.
