This is a 1932 Pontiac Model 402 Coupe perfectly restored and finished in Hunter Green with Black Fenders and complemented by a lovely Gray Mohair interior. Overall, this car is in exceptional condition. 1932 was the height of the great depression and companies like Pontiac were scrambling to catch the eye of those rare customers who were still interested in buying a car. The result was an effort to “upscale” their cars including some truly beautiful designs with timeless aesthetics. The long cowl and the four vent portals on each side of the 1932 cowl are probably the most visible examples of up-scaling, as well as the “V” shaped grill that really stood out in a time when most grills were completely flat. This 1932 Pontiac model 402 Coupe is super clean, it starts and runs perfectly, steers tight and brakes straight and true. It runs up the road at 50mph solid and smooth. The engine pulls strong with plenty of power to motor up hills without downshifting. The gearbox and clutch shift perfectly and are easy to engage and disengage. Originally from Seattle, the car is completely rust-free with no signs of any rust or body repairs anywhere. The wood structure of the car is excellent, the doors, trunk and cowls open and shut solidly. The passenger compartment and trunk interiors are both in great shape. The door windows and the rear window roll up and down perfectly; even the windshield rolls up about 2 inches to provide additional airflow to the passenger compartment. The wheels where completely refurbished in 2012 by one of the best antique wheel techs in the country and new tires were put on at that time.
