What you see here is a precise replica of a 19' 1939 Chris Craft Barrel Back; built, owned and loved by master boat builder Leo Murphy of Prince Edward Island Canada. Mr. Murphy has been building boats all of his life and enjoys a reputation as one of the best still alive today. Leo Murphy is the guy who the Canadian museums use when they need a scratch built replica of an historical Craft.

In 2000, Leo built this boat completely from scratch using an original set of plans and estimates that he has approximately 4500 hours of his time invested in the build. Built to such a high level of perfection with tolerances way in advance of an original, an argument can be made this is a much more desirable Craft to own. A 4.3 liter Chevrolet engine with 185 hp allows her to cruise happily at 40 mph. A more beautiful Craft does not exist and close inspection will reveal why Mr. Murphy is the go to guy for the many museums or anybody else that demands the perfection that Leo produces.

Just a few hundred hours on her over the last 17 years, she is still like new. This boat has been measured , inspected and accepted by the "Barrel Back society" and is known to them and she has been a winner in every show in which she been entered; which is a long list.
