1971 Triumph GT-6 MK III

This is a beautifully restored 1971 Triumph GT6 Mark 3 with very few miles on her since completion of her restoration (odometer shows 550 or so). The car is finished in British Racing Green (of course) with a silver pinstripe - which is complemented by a Black & Tan vinyl interior. Overall this car is stunning and has not yet attended a car show where she did not win a prize.

The current owner - who has owned many British sportscars - considers this 1971 Triumph GT6 to be the best British car that he has ever owned. It always starts and runs well on 93 octane gas to which he adds lead additive. She is powered by her original 2.0 liter Inline 6 motor with twin Stromburg carburetors, coupled to her original 4 speed manual transmission (no overdrive).

This owner has had the following work done or parts installed:

Converted to electronic ignition
Converted to GPS speedometer
Replaced battery
Had painted during past year.
Replaced all badges
Added an after market windshield washer and jets
Replaced windshield wiper arms.
Replaced engine ground strap
Recently replaced spark plugs, oil, and oil filter

There are a few things that need repair. The ceiling light switches were removed from door frames before he bought the car, so the ceiling light does not work. In the extra parts, we have included an after market interior light kit. The interior door locks and rear hatch lock do not work. The car has new exterior door handles and keys, and locks from the outside. The gas tank cap also locks. The horn which constantly shorted out has been rerouted to a button on the dash/console, similar to an MGA. The emergency flashers are not working, but there is a new flasher in the extra parts. With the aftermarket windshield washer, the washer button has been mounted on the dash.

The car has a spare tire and jack. The bottom door window molding could use replacement. New molding and the installation tool are included with the extra parts. Extra parts also include various pieces of carpet, bulbs, clutch and brake springs, clips, old arm rest, extra chrome, exterior door knobs, switches, heater vent covers, an extensive service manual, and a reproduction owners guide. There is also a plastic chrome looking trim piece to go around windshield that has not been opened yet.
