This 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 "R" Code Fastback was one of the fastest cars of its time offering the FE big-block engine, the 427ci V8. boasting 425bhp with its dual four-barrel setup. These engines would drive these huge Fords at silly speeds and were a hard car to beat at the track or on the drag strip; you had better know what you were doing when you got behind the wheel!

This car was Built at Ford's Dallas, Texas assembly plant towards the beginning of August 1963 and was originally delivered to a Dallas dealership; it is factory finished in Black (still the original paint) complemented by a Black vinyl bucket interior (also original). The drivetrain is all original from front to back (born with the car) and the "R" code 427 comes with a 4 speed manual transmission - also rare in a Galaxie.
