What we have here is a rare and stunning 1940 Ford Opera Coupe restored period correct and original. She has 22,193 unknown miles on the odometer and is finished in a deep Plum with a complementary Beige Tweed interior. Ford made many different versions of the car in 1940 but the most unusual and rare is the Opera Coupe; this is a gem and a true find. Overall this car is beautiful and a solid #2 on anyone's scale.

This 1940 Ford Opera Coupe is powered by her 221 cu.in. 85hp motor coupled to her 3 speed Ford box and a Ford rear end. She runs like a sewing machine and starts up easily every time. She has 4 brand new wide whitewall tires which are mounted on new 16" wheels with new hub caps and beauty rings. The front leaf springs were refurbished by Palmer Spring in Pennsylvania and had a leaf added to improve the ride and the stance. The generator was upgraded to a 6v alternator and the exhaust was modified by Lou's custom exhaust providing custom chrome tips. We have a spare starter motor and a new "crab style" distributor cap both of which will come with the car.
